The first thing you should try to use are the free
autoresponders that usually come with any webhosting
accounts. The webhosting service is the location of your
domain. It is possible to access your webhost account via
the control panel and establish your autoresponder program
at that location. If you have your own account autoresponder
you not have advertising when you send a message. Now you
may not have a webhosting account, and so do not have the
option of using its autoresponder, or maybe your webhost
does not offer autoresponding. When one can’t do what you

clients to see small ads when they view your outgoing
messages. One thing to consider about outside ads in your
autoresponder messages is whether they advertise a product
or service that is in competition with your own. If that’s
the case, you might want to opt for a different service.
Although the product may not directly compete with you,
future clients might find the ad unprofessional.

Occasionally autoresponders that charge a fee offer
complimentary service with some limitations. It is wise to
look into these also. If it’s important to you, be sure to
ask whether a free autoresponder will add content to your
message or advertisement. speak directly to a customer
service representative to see if they can customize a plan
that would meet your needs. But if at this time you don’t
need those advanced options or can not afford it, then this
is a viable option.

When using the free version of the autoresponder you will
have a limited amount of subscribers. When your first
beginning its ok to go with the free services and when you
reach your limit you can upgrade and your information will
be transferred. This seems pretty reasonable if it’s
addressed as a business transaction. make a profit before
you have to expend more money.

Because you alone own your business, you alone can determine
your needs and your time frame. Sit back and look at the big
picture, your objectives and roadmap before making all these
important choices. A free autoresponder will provide what
you need if you are either have no list or a just a tiny
one. Upgrading should be pondered when more traffic is

You may be wondering what this mysterious security script I
referred to is about. It is a new tool that lets you manage
multiple sales pages for multiple products using a single
ClickBank account plus it gives you more control over your
affiliates. It is called the CB-MultiTool. There have been
other buggy perl scripts that allow you to sell multiple
items but never one like this. It is a simple script that
you upload to your server. ClickBank has a major limitation
of allowing you to only have one sales page per account, not
per product. That means you must setup a new $50 account for
every product that has its own sales page. The CB-MultiTool
script gives you full control over redirection. You are no
longer limited to one sales page on ClickBank and you no
longer have to pay $50 if you want to use a new sales page
for your affiliates. You can have as many as you want, even
multiple pages per product.

you control over affiliates and lets you banish bad
affiliates by taking away their commissions or sending their

page or any site you want. No more complaints because they

commissions and not the spammer. You can use the same

In most areas of life, and business, this holds true. Not
necessarily so, however, in the webhosting industry. Often,
you pay too much, and don’t get what you pay for.

Several weeks ago I got a call from a web designer friend of
mine.

“John,” He said “You won’t believe this”.

He went on to tell me about a Plastic Surgeon he was
redesigning a website for. This client was paying $600.00
per month for his webhosting account.

“The incredible thing is” He related, “I can’t get the
current host to return my phone calls or emails”.

After looking at this clients needs, I was shocked to find
that there was nothing special about his site that justified
his being on anything other than a basic shared webhosting
plan. We quoted him a monthly rate of under five dollars.

In this case, the client was being raped by an unscrupulous
host who was not only overcharging him, but not even
providing the basic support he needed.

This is an extreme example, no doubt, but it all to often
characterizes the poor deal which most website owners fall
into.

Several years ago, there was no such thing as a webhosting
industry. Nearly all websites were hosted by local ISP’s.
The average monthly cost for hosting a website was $20.00
per month. Often, if you called the ISP with a technical
question, they would tell you to buy a book or take a class.

Around 1996, we saw the emergence of a few “webhosting”
companies. These were companies which were strictly
committed to hosting websites. Using the economy of scale,
they were able to offer incredibly useful webhosting
packages for around $10.00 per month. What’s more, some of
these companies provided useful tech support which was
geared towards meeting a website owners needs.

Fast forward to 2005 and we now see the emergence of a new
type of web host – the cheap webhosting provider. These are
companies which offer hosting for less than $5.00 per month.

Generally, cheap webhosting providers are newer companies.
There’s a reason for this. It’s extremely difficult for the
older companies to lower their prices when they already have
a large customer base which pays higher prices. They’d be
slashing their gross, and most companies just can’t afford
that.

So how do cheap webhosting providers offer such a low price
to begin with?

Part of it is that servers, hard drive space and bandwidth
are much, much less expensive than they were several years
ago. Cheap webhosting providers capitalize on this.

Another part is that cheap hosting providers use a different
business model than the older providers. Webhosting is a
very competitive business. Until recently, web hosts
attempted to compete by providing the most tools and
features. The problem with this model is that not everyone
needs everything. Most web hosts provide free backup
services to all of their clients. Backups are costly, and
not everyone needs or wants them, but everyone pays for them
because they’re built into the cost of the package.

A cheap webhosting provider, on the other hand, might give
you the basic features that everyone uses, but offer weekly
backups as an available add on feature, putting the cost of
backing up websites on only those customers who want that
service.

This all sounds great, I know, but what about service? Will
I get competent and fast customer support from a company
which charges me $4.00 per month?

The answer, surprisingly, is usually yes.

Obviously, not all cheap webhosting providers will give you
great service. But not all expensive webhosting providers
will give good service either. Our Plastic Surgeon friend
couldn’t get his $600.00 host to return his emails.

But, with a cheaper provider, the key for the providers
success is customer retention. A savvy web host will
endeavor to please his existing clients by providing the
best support possible.

Initially you may be overwhelmed by the choices in templates
for your site. There are many sites that have many different
templates available. This is a good thing though. Just take
some time up front before you begin searching to identify
the type of site you are going to make. Once you have done

easily. Some research and organization on your part will

I don’t know about this but I’ve received return visits on

and people return just to read jokes. These same people who

You know studies have shown that it takes 4 to 5 visits for
a person before he sets his eyes on what you can offer. A
simple element (but it’s not included on the 12 elements
I’ve mentioned) is just to place a text on your web site
(bold letters, not caps) saying “Please bookmark this site”
can go a long, long way.
