Is a free autoresponder something you can use? In your mind
could use the Internet for a good yet affordable
autoresponder. You may be just starting out and not want to
put money into that end of things for now. You need to
remember that in is alright to use autoresponders in a few
situations but, even though the other options might cost
more they might be more fitting to the situations that you
might encounter. If it is a choice between no autoresponder
and using free autoresponders, you should use the free
autoresponder, as it is better than nothing!

The first thing you should try to use are the free
autoresponders that usually come with any webhosting
accounts. The webhosting service is the location of your
domain. It is possible to access your webhost account via
the control panel and establish your autoresponder program
at that location. If you have your own account autoresponder
you not have advertising when you send a message. Now you
may not have a webhosting account, and so do not have the
option of using its autoresponder, or maybe your webhost
does not offer autoresponding. When one can’t do what you
want try somewhere else.

Go to Google or Yahoo or use any search engine that you
like. Just type in “Free autoresponder” or “Using free auto
responder”. Many companies that give the service will be at
your hand. Free versions of autoresponders are offered
because the service provider can make a profit by attaching
its own advertising to the messages sent on behalf of your
company. The posistion of a miniscule ad will vary from
company to company, however it will appear in every message
you send.

You might think initially that it isn’t a problem for your
clients to see small ads when they view your outgoing
messages. One thing to consider about outside ads in your
autoresponder messages is whether they advertise a product
or service that is in competition with your own. If that’s
the case, you might want to opt for a different service.
Although the product may not directly compete with you,
future clients might find the ad unprofessional.

Occasionally autoresponders that charge a fee offer
complimentary service with some limitations. It is wise to
look into these also. If it’s important to you, be sure to
ask whether a free autoresponder will add content to your
message or advertisement. speak directly to a customer
service representative to see if they can customize a plan
that would meet your needs. But if at this time you don’t
need those advanced options or can not afford it, then this
is a viable option.

When using the free version of the autoresponder you will
have a limited amount of subscribers. When your first
beginning its ok to go with the free services and when you
reach your limit you can upgrade and your information will
be transferred. This seems pretty reasonable if it’s
addressed as a business transaction. make a profit before
you have to expend more money.

Because you alone own your business, you alone can determine
your needs and your time frame. Sit back and look at the big
picture, your objectives and roadmap before making all these
important choices. A free autoresponder will provide what
you need if you are either have no list or a just a tiny
one. Upgrading should be pondered when more traffic is
displayed. You own your business and only you can decide,
paid or free?

What if you woke up one morning to find your worst marketing
nightmare came true?

Here is what usually happens: You launch a new product on
ClickBank and you notify your mailing list or promote it
through paid ads. Then you wake up the next morning to find
you are flooded with complaints about spam. What happened?

A crooked affiliate spammed thousands, nay, millions of
people with their affiliate link which goes to your site.

For every sale that is generated, which this criminal
spammer makes money from, you receive hundreds of nasty
emails.

Now what do you do? This crook has made you look like the
spammer and they are secretly profiting from every
dishonestly obtained sale. Your webhosting account is in
danger of being disabled. Your clickbank account is in
danger of being disabled and you may lose the money you have
made plus you could even face legal problems. You don’t want
to move away from ClickBank because their payment processing
system, though archaic, is very popular, easy to use, and
they have one of the biggest affiliate networks on the web.
Leaving is not a good solution.

Previously there was little you could do other than hope
ClickBank did not disable your account completely before the
whole thing died down and hope your ISP or hosting service
did not shut down your account as well as all of your other
domains.

A single dishonest affiliate can ruin your business like
this.

How can you protect yourself from these spam sending
criminals? A simple change to how you use your clickbank
account can crush them before they get started.

Now imagine this brighter scenario. You wake up one morning
and find 30 sales. You are feeling good. Now you check your
email and find 200 spam complaints and more coming in every
few seconds. One of the email complaints quoted the email
they think you sent. You see it is an affiliate email and
they are using a redirection URL to hide who they are. They
cannot hide from you. You click through to see the affiliate
name on the order page for this mystery affiliate. Now you
add this affiliate to your special security script and
redirect all of his traffic to Google.

No more spam complaints because none of this spammer’s
messages are leading back to your site. The spammer is no
longer making any money either. Your normal sales and sales
from all other affiliates are processed normally. You just
avoided potential catastrophe.

You may be wondering what this mysterious security script I
referred to is about. It is a new tool that lets you manage
multiple sales pages for multiple products using a single
ClickBank account plus it gives you more control over your
affiliates. It is called the CB-MultiTool. There have been
other buggy perl scripts that allow you to sell multiple
items but never one like this. It is a simple script that
you upload to your server. ClickBank has a major limitation
of allowing you to only have one sales page per account, not
per product. That means you must setup a new $50 account for
every product that has its own sales page. The CB-MultiTool
script gives you full control over redirection. You are no
longer limited to one sales page on ClickBank and you no
longer have to pay $50 if you want to use a new sales page
for your affiliates. You can have as many as you want, even
multiple pages per product.

This special script is called the CB-MultiTool and it gives
you control over affiliates and lets you banish bad
affiliates by taking away their commissions or sending their
traffic to a different page. Send spam traffic to an apology
page or any site you want. No more complaints because they
never see your site. Redirect the spam affiliate traffic
through your own affiliate link so you receive the
commissions and not the spammer. You can use the same
feature to send your Super Affiliates to special pages which
offer bonuses or that are customized for those customers.

Finally, you can protect yourself from bad affiliates and
get back to making money on ClickBank.

You can find more information on the CB-MultiTool and how to
use ClickBank at http://cb-multitool.y3s.net

Everybody knows that if you wanna make money online there
are a few “simple” things that you have to do. I’m going to
give you the steps you need to start your own online home
business. Whether your a student (like me), a stay at home
parent, teen, or anyone else who just want to make money
from home.

First, you’ll need a product that will sell and on the
internet “Information is Everything”. From money making
ebooks and recipe books to dog training manuals, Almost
everybody can write an ebook on something that they have
either done before or don’t mind researching. If you can’t
write, don’t worry there are ebooks that you can purchase
the resell rights to and sell just like your own.

Ebooks serve two main purposes; the first and most obvious
is income. Most ebooks merchants have little or no overhead;
Once you write it or purchase the master resell rights it’s
yours to sell over and over again and keep all the profits.
That’s why the majority of the people who really make money
online sell some form of information.

The second purpose of ebooks is generating targeted traffic
to your website. “Branding” puts your website links inside
of ebooks that you sell so you can have your ebooks pulling
in orders and traffic 24 hours a day.

Second,you need a web presence. Whether it’s a website,
newsletter, blog, or RSS feed it is essential that you have
a medium to connect to your potential clients. It’s better
to have more than one ex:(website & newsletter) this allows
you to follow-up with people who might not purchase the
first time around; Also to connect with people who might
prefer a choice. A good website and hosting package with a
domain name should cost less than ten dollars a month.

To be looked at as the professional you are, a domain name
(www.yourname.com) is crucial. Those “free” websites aren’t
really free when you begin to count all the missed
customers. Not to mention the banner ad or text link that
they embed into your page, driving them a ton of free
traffic.

An important, but often unused component of new online
marketers is tracking your visitors. When setting up your
new website it’s important to add a tracking service of some
kind. This is so once your new site begins to take off, you
know exactly where your visitors are coming from.

You want to do this so you will know which ads are working
and which aren’t. Track all the way to the order page, this
is so you know not only visitors but also orders. You can
find free tracking services online, even some with with
invisible counters.

And for my last step, you need to get the word out about
your new site. There are a few little known secrets that I
personally use to drive targeted traffic to my sites. One,
submit your site to search engines and directories. This
takes some time to get a large amounts of hits, but once
they start there highly targeted based off the keywords that
you choose. Search engine optimization or SEO prepares your
site to rank high in the search engines results, giving you
more visitors.

Second, is article submissions. Like I said earlier, online
information is everything and this is true for advertising.
A well-written article can be picked up and re-published
thousands of times for free. How does this effect you? At
the bottom of every article you write there is whats called
a resource or bio box containing the author’s info and
websites. It’s illegal to remove this box, therefore you get
free advertising on potentially thousands of sites by people
wanting to use your article in there ezine, newsletter,
website, etc.

This is also a great seo tool also since search engines
count and rank sites by how many other sites link to them.
Also if your worried that you can’t write articles either,
you can find plenty of them free with rights to edit them
and make your own. There called private label rights or plr
articles. Be sure to rewrite them because search engines can
tell unique

content and will not index you.

There’s an old adage which states that “You get what you pay
for”.

In most areas of life, and business, this holds true. Not
necessarily so, however, in the webhosting industry. Often,
you pay too much, and don’t get what you pay for.

Several weeks ago I got a call from a web designer friend of
mine.

“John,” He said “You won’t believe this”.

He went on to tell me about a Plastic Surgeon he was
redesigning a website for. This client was paying $600.00
per month for his webhosting account.

“The incredible thing is” He related, “I can’t get the
current host to return my phone calls or emails”.

After looking at this clients needs, I was shocked to find
that there was nothing special about his site that justified
his being on anything other than a basic shared webhosting
plan. We quoted him a monthly rate of under five dollars.

In this case, the client was being raped by an unscrupulous
host who was not only overcharging him, but not even
providing the basic support he needed.

This is an extreme example, no doubt, but it all to often
characterizes the poor deal which most website owners fall
into.

Several years ago, there was no such thing as a webhosting
industry. Nearly all websites were hosted by local ISP’s.
The average monthly cost for hosting a website was $20.00
per month. Often, if you called the ISP with a technical
question, they would tell you to buy a book or take a class.

Around 1996, we saw the emergence of a few “webhosting”
companies. These were companies which were strictly
committed to hosting websites. Using the economy of scale,
they were able to offer incredibly useful webhosting
packages for around $10.00 per month. What’s more, some of
these companies provided useful tech support which was
geared towards meeting a website owners needs.

Fast forward to 2005 and we now see the emergence of a new
type of web host – the cheap webhosting provider. These are
companies which offer hosting for less than $5.00 per month.

Generally, cheap webhosting providers are newer companies.
There’s a reason for this. It’s extremely difficult for the
older companies to lower their prices when they already have
a large customer base which pays higher prices. They’d be
slashing their gross, and most companies just can’t afford
that.

So how do cheap webhosting providers offer such a low price
to begin with?

Part of it is that servers, hard drive space and bandwidth
are much, much less expensive than they were several years
ago. Cheap webhosting providers capitalize on this.

Another part is that cheap hosting providers use a different
business model than the older providers. Webhosting is a
very competitive business. Until recently, web hosts
attempted to compete by providing the most tools and
features. The problem with this model is that not everyone
needs everything. Most web hosts provide free backup
services to all of their clients. Backups are costly, and
not everyone needs or wants them, but everyone pays for them
because they’re built into the cost of the package.

A cheap webhosting provider, on the other hand, might give
you the basic features that everyone uses, but offer weekly
backups as an available add on feature, putting the cost of
backing up websites on only those customers who want that
service.

This all sounds great, I know, but what about service? Will
I get competent and fast customer support from a company
which charges me $4.00 per month?

The answer, surprisingly, is usually yes.

Obviously, not all cheap webhosting providers will give you
great service. But not all expensive webhosting providers
will give good service either. Our Plastic Surgeon friend
couldn’t get his $600.00 host to return his emails.

But, with a cheaper provider, the key for the providers
success is customer retention. A savvy web host will
endeavor to please his existing clients by providing the
best support possible.

There are some amazing websites on the net these days. It
used to be that if you wanted a really good website it would
cost you thousands of dollars and months of time. Not any
more! The quality and availability of website templates
these days makes it easy for anyone to have an amazing
website quickly and easily.

Initially you may be overwhelmed by the choices in templates
for your site. There are many sites that have many different
templates available. This is a good thing though. Just take
some time up front before you begin searching to identify
the type of site you are going to make. Once you have done
this it will be easy to sort through the different templates
as most good sites have them categorized for you.

Theme or category isn’t the only thing to decide however.
Once you’ve found the template you want to use for your
website you then need to decide on the leve of customization
you want for it. If it is a good site then you will be able
to change things like color, font and logo without to much
trouble. Other changes should also be avaialable to you but
will be more difficult to implement. You may need certain
software or have to pay an additional fee for example.

A quick side-note on web hosting. In choosing your template
you should be sure of what features your hosting company
provides you. Depending on the template your server may need
to support certain functions. PHP is a good example. Many
free or discount hosting companies don’t provide scripting
to their clients. Be sure you check before choosing your
template.

Some last notes on website templates. Whether you need a
template for a – system like osCommerece, PHP Nuke, phpBB or
a custom site of your own, you can find one quickly and
easily. Some research and organization on your part will
save you time and money in the end. Don’t be fooled by some
of the free template sites you see out there. You always get
what you pay for.

D. David Dugan recommends the web hosting solutions offered
by DD&C at http://hosting.dugancom.com and the website
templates at http://templates.divinfo.com.

What is search engine optimization?

When launching a new website the major difficulty is
building the momentum. When there is no momentum it is quite
hard to launch a product successfully it would just die
immediately. There are ways to ensure an increase in
momentum that would increase your chances in launching your
website successfully. One of this ways is to use press
releases. Press releases are fantastic ways of making full
use of the internet to obtain free publicity to kick start
your website. The knowledgeable internet marketers are aware
of this and use press releases to get news about their
internet business to online users. The press releases make
sure that you are able to gain valuable links to your
website. This increases the awareness of the existence of
your website.

A press release is a short document that has detailed news
concerning your business. It contains a title that is often
catchy, a summary of what it involves and contact
information such as email, web address and postal of your
company. It should be able to grab the internet users

There can be zillions of reasons why your visitors return to
your web site. One might be very interested in seeing your
animated photo on your main page, but kidding aside I’ve
gathered 12 elements that invites your visitors to repeat
their visits.

1. High-Quality Content.

We have all read that “Content Is The Thing” according to
Michael Dean of Kittyfeet.com. We have not set-up our
website to just fill-it with endless links of your favorites
but we’re there to discuss what can we contribute to the
web. Fill it with regularly-updated quality content and
they’ll return asking for more.

2. Ease Of Use.

We have all heard of “user-friendly” computers and
softwares. Why not do the same to our web site. Provide a
navigation bar that’s easy (and fun) to use forgetting the
fancy stuff.

3. Quick To Download.

Assume your web site is going to be viewed by the oldest
browser, slowest modem and limited number of palettes.

4. Updated Frequently.

You have prepared high-quality content but the problem is
you only update it once a year. Set a realistic goal first
that at the least you’ll bring new content to it once a
month and then increase the frequency.

5. Rewards, Contest and Incentives.

Make sure your visitors enjoy a very “rewarding” visit to
your site and expect him to return or just remind him to get
his prize, reward or a mention of his name in your monthly
newsletter. He’ll sure return. Contest is one great idea.
Email me on this one and I’ll give you the free code.

6. Favorite Brands.

We all know zdnet.com is the site for free downloads,
cnn.com for up-to-the-minute customizable news. Why not link
to them? Do you know that zdnet.com offers link partnership?
(I don’t get money from this one, folks ) I know a site
that just updates their visitors on what’s happening to over
200 branded ezines and you know what visitors like it and
return.

7. Cutting-edge Technology.

We can’t all compete with this category but I’m sure there
are lots of software out there to simplify the task. So grab
one!

8. Games.

Online game sites are becoming famous nowadays. Visitors too
need sometime to play online. Give what they need and
they’ll ask you for more.

9. Purchasing Capabilities.

Web surfers also shop around and they’re looking for
convenience on how to do it. Be the first one to do it for
them. Add a shopping cart of some sort to your web site and
it would be better if you can accept credit cards online.

10. Customizable Content.

Try to create a simple database (Excel of MS Access would
do) and connect it on your web site. Every visitor will have
its own content and experience. An example of this is
planetit.com (tell them I referred you, just enough to
receive thank you from them, yes, no money involved here
either.)

11. Chat and BBS.

Message Board or interactive forums replaces BBS (bulletin
board system) nowadays. Even I have one on my web site (just
to make sure) and I’m amazed at the number of visitors from
around the globe who post on it. Just make sure you get
their email addie so you can reply.

12. Freebies, Jokes and Quotes.

I don’t know about this but I’ve received return visits on
this one. I even got a search engine for jokes on my site
and people return just to read jokes. These same people who
spent considerable amount of money reading jokes and quotes
will soon ask for a price quote.

You know studies have shown that it takes 4 to 5 visits for
a person before he sets his eyes on what you can offer. A
simple element (but it’s not included on the 12 elements
I’ve mentioned) is just to place a text on your web site
(bold letters, not caps) saying “Please bookmark this site”
can go a long, long way.
